Some more shots of my East African collection from a game we put on the Leeds show at the Royal Armouries a couple of years ago.

Italian Askari defending. The figures are in fact Brigade games WW1 Askaris painted up as Italians. Anglian miniatures are about to bring out some Italian Askaris. Italian heavy metal moving forward. Well an M13/40 supported by a couple of CVs.

A closer look at an M13/40 from Army Group North (AGN). The Italian artillery is armed with 65mm and are from the Battle Honours range.

Artizan Italain Infantry painted as Blackshirts recruited from the local Italain population. The Marmon is from Chieftan Models (now sold to JFTM in the US) supported by an ealry Bren Carrier.

World War 2 - North Africa in 6mm

I have added these photos of some of my 6mm (1/285) North African WW2 collection. Most of my collection are GHQ with a few CinC trucks and bren carriers.

I have recently rebased this collection on 3cm squares for use with Piquets FOB:WW2 . This is an great set of rules for fighting large scale games in an evening. One base = a company.

World War 2 - East African 1941

Here are some photos of a recent a WW2 game set in East Africa. We used Piquets FoB:WW2 rules. These shots are of a playtest game for the Vapnartak show in Feb 2009. These pictures are from Olicana Lads site.

An AGN Matilda is well supported by tw0 companies of British infantry as it advances towards a small village defended by Italian Blackshirts.

Vickers VIb close in supporting the attack. These models were originally supplied by Force of Arms now available from AGN.

Italian tanks (AGN M13/40) arrive supported by the Grenadiers of Savoy. The M13/40 was not used in East Africa but no one makes a M11/39 in 28mm - yet.

The British can be seen crossing the river as they move into assault the town.

South African Marmon Herringtons (Chieftan) turn to defend against the Italian armour. Even a Boys AT rifle has a chance against the italian coffins.

Bren Carriers (MK1 and scount models origianlly from Force of Arms) of the Central Indian Horse protect the British Left.

Great War - Battle of Elouges

The Ilkleylads put on a Piquet WW1 Barrage game a few years ago at Fiasco Show in Leeds .The game was of the Battle of Elouges - part of the overall Mons action. The Germans are attempting to turn the BEF line and cut off the retreat of the British Army before marching on Paris. The figures are mainly Renegade with and occasional Foundry figure throw in.

Picked these rules up recently. Dont normally go for the Warhammer genre but these look like they may work not only for the Great War but also the Spanish Civil War. There are some ideas on how to convert these rules for the SCW.

I have been gaming the first World War for on and off for years. My most recent games having being fought using Piquets Barrage supplement. I have put on a couple of demo games using these rules and I have attached a number of photos taken of some of these games . They are set in the Balkans in 1917 and Belgium 1914.
